Position Summary

Data and Quality Assurance Engineer needed go oversee and execute all aspects of company’s data engineering efforts. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a dynamic environment where they have direct input into our clients’ needs. Some of the potential responsibilities include: 

  • Leverage existing experience with data transformation and manipulation to build assets that meet our data scientist’s needs 
  • Understand data ingestion and extraction fundamentals for big data and massive parallel processing (MPP) systems
  • Exhibit a passion for writing clean code, and constantly improving and innovating development patterns — focus on helping company delivery quality results
  • Communicate effectively with other Sentier team members and with Sentier’s clients throughout all stages of our service delivery
  • Independent and creative thinker
  • Comfortable with tight deadlines

Company partners with pharmaceutical and biotech clients to improve their marketing and sales effectiveness, enhance the customer experience, and answer mission driven questions. We do that through our innovative data integration and machine learning approaches delivered as an all in one service. We provide more accurate data-driven answers and direction in a much faster time frame than our competition. 

Requirements

  • Understands how the pharmaceutical industry works, and has hands on experience with the wide disparity of commercial data sets that are needed to make informed decisions (i.e. Veeva, IQvia, SHA etc.) 
  • Have worked at companies like ZS and Associates, Shyft, Beghou, and Axtria who focus on data integration, reporting and analytics for the life sciences industry
  • Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as python
  • Familiarity with database technologies and big data technologies (AWS, Azure, Spark)
  • Hands-on experience with business intelligence tools (Tableau, Qlik, MicroStrategy)
  • Exposure to R and/or SAS
  • Experience with Linux and shell scripting
  • Ability to commit code (GitHub, CodeCommit)
  • Willingness to learn and embrace new technologies
