Position Summary

Highly motivated and detailed oriented data scientist to help out with all aspects of our engagements from data identification and design to analytic approach and delivery. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a dynamic environment utilizing the latest technologies and methodologies. Some of the potential responsibilities include:

Tasks

  • Perform ad-hoc data querying and analysis as needed –
  • Communicate effectively with other team members and with clients throughout all stages of our projects
  • Ability to select the appropriate statistical techniques and machine learning methods to answer a business question while considering the trade-offs between models complexity, ease of interpreting results and implementation
  • Use of exploratory data analysis (EDA) to generate insights for subsequent modeling
  • Design and create visual representations of data in order to discover patterns, answer questions and convey findings to various development and client audience
  • Identify opportunities and gaps in the company’s current capabilities with regards to data science technology and infrastructure, and provide recommendations for new methods and/or technologies

Requirements

  • 3-5 years work experience as a data science team member
  • Understands how the pharmaceutical industry works, and is familiar with the wide disparity of analytics that are needed for companies to make informed Marketing and Sales decisions
  • Advanced degree (PHD, MS) in data science, computer science, statistics, appliedmathematics or related fields. BS in a similar field plus 8 years of experience
  • Practical experience using advanced statistical techniques
  • Experience using machine learning techniques in areas such as deep learning, NLP,classification and predictive modeling
  • Familiarity with R and/or SAS
  • Familiarity with scalable data analytics tools for ETL, data storage and retrievalPosition specifics
  • Experience with SQL
  • Proficiency in python and standard libraries such as scikit-learn, Tensorflow, Spark ML
  • Independent and creative thinking
  • Comfortable with tight deadlines
