New Business Development Manager – New England

Our client, a marketing and sales analytics company for life sciences is looking for a New Business Development Manager to oversee and execute all aspects of client acquisition.  The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a dynamic environment where they have direct input into our new business development messaging and processes. Responsibilities include:

  • Create and follow up on new leads and potential opportunities
  • Describe services and articulate the benefits in a way that is compelling to prospects
  • Carry out all aspects of the sales cycle from meeting generation and coordination through the contracting process
  • Identify and lead RFP responses
  • Establish positive business relationships with potential clients
  • Meet established targets for new client relationships and related business
  • Record and document sales progress through the CRM system
  • Provide weekly status reports on sales cycles
  • Provide feedback to improve the sales process

Located in Boston, our client helps commercial life science organizations better understand the impact and future value of their sales and marketing activities and optimize those efforts across channels and customers.

Their insights are based on innovative “analytic specific” data aggregation and advanced machine learning techniques.  As a result, their answers are more accurate, timely, and can be generated to better inform business decisions


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical discipline
  • At least 5 years of experience selling high value commercial analytics in pharma and biotech settings (Examples include marketing mix modeling, call planning support, campaign target generation, new product launches, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience successfully building sales capabilities in a new company or setting
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with team members to win new business
