MomUp Case Study
Partnering with MomUp provided a best-in-class recruiting experience. We were able to hire a top female candidate into a senior leadership role.
Cathy Yang, CFO, C&K
The hiring need
C&K had an open senior finance role and needed a leader with international tax and treasury experience. The position required technical depth, strategic judgment, and the willingness to remain close to execution within a global manufacturing business.
The search
MomUp focused on candidates who could demonstrate all three parts of the role: international finance experience, direct tax and treasury expertise, and the ability to work effectively across countries and functions.
The team evaluated the substance of candidates' experience rather than relying only on senior titles. C&K needed someone who had advised leadership and could still engage directly with the work.
The result
MomUp introduced Tracy Byrne, whose background included CFO and Controller experience, international work in Asia, and leadership in both startup and established environments. C&K hired Tracy as Director of Finance, Tax and Treasury.
There was no prolonged crisis behind the search. C&K had a specialized opening, engaged MomUp, reviewed qualified candidates, and made a successful senior hire. That straightforward outcome is the point.
Tracy shared her own story in her CatchUp interview on the MomUp blog.
What employers can learn
Not every successful search needs a dramatic rescue narrative. For specialized senior roles, value can be demonstrated through accurate scoping, access to qualified candidates, a disciplined process, and a successful hire.
