Our client, a mission-driven SaaS company, is hiring a savvy, detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Finance Manager who brings more than just number-crunching skills — someone who can think strategically, and keep financials running smoothly.
The Role
You’ll manage invoicing, reconciliations, reporting, and coordination with our CPA, while keeping a close eye on cash flow, deferred revenue, and expense management. You’ll work directly with leadership to ensure our books are clean, our systems are efficient, and our financials are ready for strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage monthly invoicing of customers and maintain invoicing schedules
- Oversee accounts receivable and track deferred revenue recognition
- Record monthly accruals, categorize all transactions, and reconcile all cash, credit card, and prepaid accounts
- Maintain fixed asset schedule and depreciation records
- Process payroll entries via Gusto and handle employee reimbursements
- Calculate loan interest and maintain supporting documentation
- Handle credit card dispute management, working with shelters to resolve chargebacks and reversals
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy through variance checks and reconciliations
- Assist with insurance audits (workers comp, etc.) and respond to employee and customer inquiries
- Support year-end CPA preparation, including state-level revenue reporting and requested workpapers
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or finance operations experience
- Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Gusto
- Strong understanding of accrual-based accounting, deferred revenue, and reconciliations
- Controller-level attention to detail and analytical skills
- Self-starter with excellent communication and follow-through
- Experience working remotely with small businesses or startups
