Nurturing Minds is a US-based 501(c)(3) that supports quality education, life skills, and entrepreneurship for at-risk girls in Tanzania, serving more than 4,000 girls and young women each year through its partner organization, SEGA.
About the Role
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Communications Coordinator will lead the organization's storytelling and digital communications, including:
- Creating donor-facing materials that support fundraising and stewardship
- Writing content for newsletters, the website, social media, and annual reports
- Pitching stories to media outlets and securing podcast and speaking opportunities
- Managing social media, email campaigns, and website updates
- Leading communications for the organization's 20th anniversary and book launch
What They're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in communications, marketing, or public relations; nonprofit experience strongly preferred
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- Experience with social media, email marketing, and website content; Canva or Adobe familiarity a plus
- Willingness to travel occasionally within the US
