Job Description:
This is an opportunity for a seasoned digital marketing account manager with leadership experience to act as both a producing manager and a mentor to our account management team. The ideal candidate will manage a portfolio of clients while also overseeing a team of 3-4 account managers, providing strategic guidance, conducting performance reviews, and ensuring high-quality client relationships across the team.
As the primary point of contact for their own set of clients, the account manager will facilitate communication, present campaign successes, and make data-driven recommendations. Additionally, they will serve as a resource for the broader account management team, ensuring consistency in processes, troubleshooting client challenges, and supporting professional development. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a remote work environment.
Job Responsibilities:
● Manage a personal book of B2B clients, providing strategic oversight and maintaining strong relationships
● Oversee and mentor a team of 3-4 account managers, ensuring consistency and excellence in client management
● Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and assist with process improvements
● Facilitate efficient communication between clients and internal teams, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met
● Guide the account management team on strategy development, client retention, and problem-solving
● Lead report meetings and work closely with digital marketing strategists to adjust campaigns for maximum effectiveness
● Proactively suggest and implement creative solutions to client needs
● Stay updated on client news, industry trends, and internal developments
● Represent the company professionally in all client communications
Required:
● 4-6 years of B2B account management experience
● 3-5 years of B2B digital marketing experience
● 3+ years experience in a digital agency setting
● Prior experience managing a team, including conducting performance reviews and mentoring employees
● Expertise in working directly with clients to strategize and analyze campaign performance
● Strong understanding of SEO/SEM best practices
● Excellent analytical thinking skills with the ability to use data for strategic decision-making
● Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
● Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, remote environment
Helpful but not required:
● Experience working with manufacturing companies
● Understanding of web development/design (WordPress preferred)
● Strong technical knowledge of best practices for web design and development
● Experience using project management tools (Asana preferred)
● Google Certifications
● Knowledge of SEO tools like SEMrush, Mangools, Screaming Frog, etc.
● HubSpot knowledge or certification
● Sales training or experience
Compensation and Benefits:
