Receptionist (Needham, MA)

Location: Needham, MA
Schedule: 9 - 2; Mon - Thurs
Compensation: $30-36K

Position Summary


Our client is seeking a reliable and welcoming Receptionist to support their small, established insurance office. As the first point of contact for visitors and callers, you will represent the company with professionalism and warmth. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, approachable, and comfortable supporting a close-knit team with day-to-day administrative needs.

There is also room to grow in this role by learning the insurance industry over time, with exposure to client service processes, policy workflows, and product knowledge for candidates who want to build those skills.

Key Responsibilities


• Greet clients, visitors, and vendors and ensure a positive first impression
• Answer and direct phone calls in a clear and professional manner
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries
• Maintain a clean, organized reception area and common spaces
• Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and general office coordination
• Provide basic administrative support to team members as needed
• Maintain simple logs, records, or documents as requested
• Help ensure smooth daily operations in a friendly, consistent manner

Qualifications


• Prior experience in a receptionist, administrative, or client service role
• Strong communication skills, both in person and by phone
• Professional, friendly demeanor with the ability to interact well with clients and colleagues
• Dependable and punctual with strong attention to detail
• Basic proficiency with email, calendars, and office software
• Ability to stay organized and manage simple tasks with minimal supervision
