About The Role
Waymo is seeking an experienced Executive Recruiter to join its People team in a hybrid capacity. Reporting directly to the Head of Executive Recruiting, this role involves leading the end-to-end recruitment process for senior executive positions, including Vice Presidents and other high-level professionals. The successful candidate will implement strategic sourcing initiatives, develop strong relationships with senior leadership, and serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers. Your responsibilities will include sourcing passive candidates, managing candidate screening and interview processes, and negotiating offers to secure top-tier talent. This role requires a strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the technology sector, particularly in areas such as AI, machine learning, and cloud technologies. As part of Waymo's talent acquisition team, you will contribute to building a world-class leadership team that drives innovation and growth within the company.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in executive search, advising clients on talent acquisition and managing full-cycle recruitment processes.
- 5+ years of experience hiring senior executives (VP level and above).
- 3+ years of experience in the technology industry, either within a corporate environment or an executive search firm.
- Proven success in closing high-level candidates and negotiating complex compensation packages.
- Experience recruiting across diverse subject matter, including emerging and innovative areas.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred: 3+ years of recruiting experience in AI, machine learning, or cloud technologies.
- Experience collaborating with internal stakeholders and external search firms to deliver high-quality search results.
- Extensive network of technical and executive talent from previous recruiting roles.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute targeted recruiting strategies to identify and attract top executive talent.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and decision-makers to understand organizational goals and talent needs.
- Lead the full-cycle recruitment process for executive roles, from sourcing and candidate engagement to interview coordination and offer negotiation.
- Serve as a strategic partner to hiring managers, providing guidance and insights throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
- Screen candidates, prepare interview materials, and facilitate candidate assessments.
- Represent Waymo externally by establishing a strong presence within the leadership talent community and industry networks.
- Negotiate compensation packages and close offers, ensuring alignment with company policies and market standards.
- Source passive talent through innovative sourcing techniques and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified candidates.
- Ensure a high-touch, respectful, and positive candidate experience at every stage of the process.

- Competitive base salary within the range of $196,000 to $248,000 USD, commensurate with experience and location.
